June is International Widows’ Day

Here’s a message of  Hope, Healing, and God’s Faithfulness

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” โ€” Psalm 34:18

Today, on International Widows’ Day, we pause to honor the extraordinary men and women who continue walking through life after the loss of their beloved spouse.

No words can fully express the depth of losing the one with whom you shared dreams, laughter, tears, milestones, and countless memories. The silence can be overwhelming. The empty chair, the quiet home, and the moments you instinctively reach for someone who is no longer physically present remind you that grief is real.

Yet even in grief, God has not abandoned you.

Your journey may be different from everyone else’s. There is no timetable for healing and no “right way” to grieve. Every tear you shed is seen by God. Every sleepless night is known by Him. Every prayer whispered through pain is heard.

Your spouse’s earthly journey may have ended, but the love you shared was never wasted. Love leaves fingerprints on the soul that time cannot erase.

God specializes in restoring hearts that have been shattered. While He may not remove every memory of loss, He promises to walk beside you every step of the way. One day, what feels impossible today will become manageable. Joy will slowly return. Hope will rise again. Laughter will find its way back into your lifeโ€”not because you have forgotten, but because God is faithful.

You are not alone.

You are not forgotten.

You are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father.

May today remind you that your story is not over. God still has purpose for your life, people to encourage through your testimony, and blessings yet to unfold.

May His peace surround you, His strength uphold you, and His love comfort you in every season.

Will you join me in prayer for  Widows and Widowers across the globe

Heavenly Father,

Today we lift before You every widow and widower around the world. You know the pain they carry, the tears they have cried, and the loneliness they sometimes feel.

Wrap them in Your loving arms. Fill every empty place with Your comforting presence. Give them strength for each new day, courage for every challenge, and hope for tomorrow.

Surround them with caring family, faithful friends, and compassionate communities that will walk beside them.

Heal broken hearts, restore weary souls, and remind them that they are never alone because You have promised never to leave nor forsake them.

May beautiful memories bring comfort rather than pain, and may Your joy gradually replace sorrow.

Bless them with renewed purpose, renewed peace, renewed health, and renewed hope.

In Jesus’ mighty name,

Amen.

Declare and Decree with me!

Today, by faith, we declare and Decree:

  • We declare that every widow and widower is surrounded by God’s unfailing love.
  • We declare healing over broken hearts.
  • We declare peace over troubled minds.
  • We declare strength for every new day.
  • We declare that loneliness will not define their future.
  • We declare that hope will rise again.
  • We declare that joy will return in God’s perfect timing.
  • We declare divine provision for every financial, emotional, physical, and spiritual need.
  • We declare that grief will never have the final wordโ€”God’s love will.
  • We declare that the best chapters of their lives are still being written by the Author of their faith.

In the powerful name of Jesus,  we decree such things and they are established in the now. We believe and we receive as we rest in the finished works of Jesus the Christ, we pray this in his name.

Amen.

Do you need someone to Walk Alongside You?

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
